From timt to time, outgoing emails will sit in my outbox and never go out. I
know the email addresses are good. I hit send & receive. Finially i have to
send them out through my personal email account.

I have had a similar problem since I bought my new machine and loaded
Outlook 2003 on it. New machine runs Windows x64. Sympatico says that it
isn't their problem, and MicroSoft is currently trying to help resolve the
issue. I will post back with any other info.

I'm having the same problem with Outlook 2007 with Outlook Connector (version
12) on a Vista 64-bit. But! Sometimes the messages do go out but stuck in
cue. I verify this by going to the email program and have already gotten
replies from the outgoing message. And the "new group" theory doesn't work.

Messages seemingly stuck in Outbox which causes me to try and re-send. They
remain in Outbox and do not appear in Sent BUT I then get complains from
recipients of multiple messages.

Sometimes I receive multiples.

What is the cause and how can I rectify?

Thanks in anticipation

This is usually caused by your antivirus software. Uninstall it and
reinstall it without any mail scanning feature.
Sometimes I receive multiples.

This could be caused by the same thing, but see this:
