Yep, getting a badass 22 inch for xmas though, so will have like 25days of gaming at 1024x768

Yes, 8800GT minimum to do it justice if your gaming tbh.

Is the 20 inch one much different to the 22 apart from the size? It's just a lot cheaper and its only 2 inches that seperates them afaik

Only the size of the screen, its still the same res. 1680x1050

Check out my posts and you could have a darn good upgrade with future upgradability for £140 ish . With your remaining £60 and what you get for your old parts on e-bay you should have enoughto buy a decent GFX card .
