Shutdown

I am having a problem shutting my computer off. It seems to power off fine but the green button on the CPU stays on and the screen reads, "windows is shutting down". I usually have to turn the computer off by holding in the power button on the CPU. Does anyone know what is causing my machine to do this? The computer is two months old.
