Shared Fax Service

Sorry for the cross post. Just found this group.

I set up our Win2000SBS to receive and route faxes through email and it
works great. The only problem I have is about once a day I have to restart
the fax service because I get a fatal error message when receiving a fax.
Then I can't send or receive. If I stop and start the service in the morning
it will run all day with no problem. I updated the modem drivers and I'm
running SP3 about to upgrade to SP4. I have two questions.
1. Is there a script or something I can setup to run daily to stop and start
the fax service?
2. Or is there a way I can trouble shoot and fix this problem.
Nothing showing in the event log.

Dell 2300 Server (2) PIII 933, 756meg RAM, Plenty of harddrive space.
Actiontech PCI V.90 Modem.

1. Open script.bat and type in:
net stop "microsoft shared fax
net start "microsoft shared fax

Go to Control Panel - Scheduled Task and schedule the script.bat

2. When an incoming fax is failed to receive, there should be some events
from fax service in the eventvwr. Can you please re-check this? Is receiving
failing randomly once a day or is it always failing from one particular
number? When the reception fails, if you stop start fax service, does
everything get back to normal?

Thanks,
Anand
