I loved the others. incredibly frustrating, funny and difficult at times
What more do you need? ;)

I may wait until the purchase of a new card. Considering the RTX 3080
Anyone else gettin' it?

Not me as I am still trying to finish Serious Sam HD: The Second Encounter. Too fast and furious for this old git. :D Fabulous games though.
I see they have versions in VR I recon if I tried to play one in VR I would end up with a heart attack.

That trailer

I can't remember if I've played Serious Sam before, but I keep hearing a lot about the series. I guess it's worth playing then?

I've played all of them, loved 'em but I think the first two were definitely the best, albeit a little repetitive. I'll probably buy the 4th one depending on reviews.

I may be in a position soon to spend £400 on a video card (had some work completed recently) but for that price could only go to an RTX2070 or RTX2060 Super, both of which are the same price (MSI brand at Ebuyer, £380 and £383 respectively).

I haven't fully checked the spec comparisons yet but was wondering whether this would be a significant upgrade against my current GTX1060. To be more specific would it be 400 quids' worth of upgrade? I only have a GTX1030 in my second machine so my GTX1060 would find a worthwhile home there if I bought a new card.

That would almost get you a 3070 RTX, so hold on a month or two and you may be able to get something that's a big leap over the 1060!

Will do, thanks for advice. I'm actually in no rush atm, the 1060 is coping ok.

As yet both Ebuyer and OCUK have no prices for RTX3070s - any idea of expected price?

The prices are varying. Overclockers want £469 for the basic 3070
The Strix cards are about £650..

I was considering a 3080 myself. Changed my mind now
Will go for a 3070, Preferably the EVGA one if it will fit into my case

Yeah launch price should be £469, but soon enough there may be a deal that gets it closer to £400 (i.e. December time). The 3060 should come in at way under £400 I'd expect and will be a huge jump over the 1060 :).

Ok, normally I'm cynical about this 'wait' mentality cos it means we'd all be waiting forever, lol, but in this instance, as my current card is coping, I think it may be worthwhile to pause.

December eh? Hmm, there's this celebration around that time which can cost a fair few pennies, I hope I have enough spare folding to manage when the moment arrives... ;)

Yep, this time I think it's worth waiting just that little bit - it's only a couple of months and things will look pretty different :).
