How do I remove things form the selective startup? I know
Win 98 has configsys you can run. What about Win 2000.

There's no msconfig for Windows 2000 (that's what you meant, not
config.sys) - but see http://www.jsiinc.com/subi/tip4200/rh4221.htm

Sorry, no email replies - and note that posting your valid e-mail address in
a newsgroup post, or in your news account settings, is a surefire way to get
spam and SWEN and other viruses sent to you....see
http://www.mailmsg.com/SPAM_munging.htm for help in the future, but note
that now that your address is out there, there's not much you can do other
than changing your address.

The tool you want to use is called MSCONFIG.EXE.
Unfortunately it's not included in Windows 2000. However! You can simply
copy this executable from any Windows XP (preferably) machine and you'll be
good to go.

I just tested this by copying the binary from my main XP machine here to a
Windows 2000 SP4 machine and it worked like a champ.
