Scanner & Camera Wizard

When I connect my digital camera (Sony DSC P71) the Scanner & Camera Wizard
does not come up
(it did when I first got the camera) but for some reason lately it refuses
to appear.
I am using XP. I can go to My Computer and click on Removable disk to get
the photos, but that is not the point, they should download automatically.
Any help appreciated.

1- Uninstall The software.
2- Unplug the camera.
3- Restart Windows
4- Start to install software again.
5- When prompt : plug camera.

What if we never installed the software that came with the camera? I have
used my same Minolta for 3 years and until a month or so ago, when I plugged
the camera into the USB port, the Wizzard automatically came up. Now it
doesn't. How do I find that Wizzard again?

Same here, no wizzard to show pictures from camera/viewer, however; i can go
to start/explorer/check the drive where my camera is and Download them there,
this
is a round about method, but I have no choice for now....
anyone know how to get it back?? the wizzard that is? its just in PHOTO,
wizzard will appear with other programs...

i had exactly the same problem. do you have realplayer installed if
so delete it as it interfers with scanner and camera wizard i did
and mine's back

I am having the same problem.My computer bing bongs when i plug my camera in
but then nothing happens. My camera is not listed as a camera it comes up as
drive G. I do not have real player installed as far as i can see. I have
automatic updates switched off as they always seem to mess everything up.
Please does any one have any other ideas as i am not sure now how to transfer
my pictures

I too am experiencing the same problem: The Scanner and Camera Wizard does
not appear.

To download photos from my card reader, I choose 'My Computer", open the
temporary disk and in edit, choose copy these files to the file I want.

I'd still prefer to use the Wizard

DO YOU HAVE PIXELA INSTALL DISC if you do install it than transfere
your pics to my pictures through back up album

I only use drive letters but if you right click there should be an Autoplay command.

Did you figure this out yet?, I am having the exact same problem all of
sudden after years of it working.....I hear the "Bing Bong" but nothing
appears.....same cameras work on my laptop however?

I've tried everything to resolve the problem. Maybe it has something to do
with S P 2? I hear the bing bong, but no wizard appears.
