Cannot connect my Sony digital camera. Missing file.

When I try to connect my Sony DSC-P10 digital camera via USB I keep getting
the following message.

The file 'SONYPVU1.SYS' on Windows XP Home Edition CD Rom is needed

The problem is that I no longer have the XP disc. Is there anything I can do?

Thanks for your quick reply. Don't seem to have an i386 folder and
unfortunately I cannot see your attachment. Is there another way you can get
it to me?

Sony USB Lower Filter Driver
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa939628.aspx
Search for the file on your system and you will find it in the direcory
SystemRoot%\dllcache% and copy it to this path:
C:\Windows\System32\drivers

Reboot your machine and see if that will help.
Also run the Check Disk on start up it may repair the Damaged file from the
system installation folder \i386.

See if it's on the CD that came with the camera. Windows asks for the
Windows CD when it can't find the file in the default locations, but
inserting the CD, redirecting the install prompt to that CD might locate
the file.
