photo wizard non functional

I have a sony dsc-75 cybershot camera. the camera used to activate a photo
wizard to download and rename the photos to a new template. I have tried to
go to an earlier restore point but the problem occured beyond my ability to
restore. does anyone know how to get the camera to activate the wizard.
currently when I connect the camera in the computer treats it like a drive.
I can use explorer to examine the files and download them but it is not as
convient as the wizard was.

Robert,

Check out this KB article -
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;330135.

The other thing I would check is the autoplay setting for this drive on the
drive property sheet.
1. open explorer window to My Computer
2. find the drive letter that corresponds to your camera
3. right click this drive and select 'Properties"
4. switch to the Autoplay tab sheet (should be the one just to the right
of the General tab sheet)
5. select 'Prompt me each time to choose an action' radion button
6. Click OK button to dismiss property page

Now unplug the camera, plug it back in, and see if the wizard appears.

I hope this helps,

My camera is a Minolta Dimage F200, I no longer get the transfer Pictures
wizard when I plug in my camera. I have tried the suggestion about
autoplay. What I have noticed is that when I turn on my camera it defaults to
Music not Pictures under Autoplay. Under Hardware My Hard drive is
highlighted not the camera. I tried switching it to photo's and click apply
but it just reverts back to music. One other thing that I have run into is
when I go to send a picture in an email it no longer asks if I would like to
reduce the resolution to make the pictures smaller for emailing.
