Scanner and Camaera Wizard

I have an HP Officejet 7310xi and I connected it to my router so my desk top
and laptop could use it. The printer and scanner worked fine using the HP
director, but Microsoft Scanner and Camera Wizard would not recognize it any
more. I disconnected from the router and re-connected it to my desktop
computer and the Scanner and Camera Wizard again recognized the scanner and
worked perfectly. Any ideas how to get the Wizard to recognize the scanner
when connected to the router would be appreciated

I should have added that I am using Windows XP with all the updates.
