This is one I've never seen before. Whenever I try right-clicking to Save
Target As in IE, the Save As window pops up and locks. It started a week ago
but I have not installed anything new. The PC has no spyware or viruses. OS
is XP Pro with SP2. All drivers are fully updated. I ran sfc /scannow but it
did not fix the problem. Niether has error checking. Anyone see this problem
before?

You could try a system restore to just before the problem started.

Tried it. It did not work for some reason.

Ok sorry that didn't work. I don't know what else to suggest other than
reinstalling IE, but maybe someone else will post with a possible solution.

This is common if you are using the Content Advisor. If this is not the
case, I have also seen this behavior from the beta version of SP2.

Not using content advisor and I am using the newest version of XP with SP2
out of the box, not a beta. Oh well, as much as I don't want to, I'm force to
use Firefox as bad as it is.

Hey Rock, thanks for telling me about sfc /scannow. Initially, it couldn't
find my CD to copy files from but I found another post that explained to copy
the I386 folder from the CD to C:\ drive. Problem solved. It sucked not being
able to save videos of people doing stupid things. And thank God I don't have
to use that ridiculous Firefox anymore.

Ok glad things are working for you.
