save a powerpoint presentation as a pdf in pure black and white

Is it possible to save a powerpoint presentation as a pdf in pure
black and white, using the built in pdf writer in Office 2007?

I dont have adobe acrobat. but i have tried it on a pc that does, and
i notice that even then only the text is black and white but the
graphics are colour.

But my main question refers to the pdf writer in Office 2007.

thanks very much

Hi Mick

As far as I can see there is nowhere in the options of the MS add-in to
select pure black & white printing. You can print a black & white XPS using
the add-in but then you've got to convert that to a pdf.... Hopefully
someone else will have some better news for you.

PS I know you wanted to know about the Office 07 add-in, but you may want to
read this:

micko,

If you cannot find an automatic way to do this will all the PDF makers out
there.

Then you could try the technique of applying a black and white 'color
scheme' to the presentation (obviously save it under a new filename
beforehand), then make the PDF

thanks everyone. my first post to a usenet gp and didnt know what
response to expect.

Ill tell them (lecturers at uni of adelaide) they'll need to use a
third party PDF maker.

Having said that, for some PPT files the Adobe PDF writer, and the XPS
writer (thanks Lucy), only convert the text and background to black
and white. They leave the images in the original uni template in
colour. Contrast this with the B&W 'view' in PPT which makes
everything, including all images, B&W. This view doesnt stick when
you pdf it of course.

Do you know why some images would print to PDF in B&W, and others
would stay colour? I dont know the difference between images that do
and those that dont since I cant seem to see a way to get any more
info about the images. If I go into slide master and right click on
them theres no 'properties' to look at.

cheers,
Mick

Hi Mick

I'm in Adelaide too - beautiful day today and nearly beer o'clock :)

Do you want to send me the template to look at? I ask as I tested pictures
with the XPS printer before I posted and it was working fine here. lucy @
