Safe Mode

We have WIN XP Home Edition on a Sony Laptop. After the
system has been running for @ least 6 hours the system
will go into safe mode automatically. This has happened
since buying the laptop.

Please assist if you have any knowledge regarding this
issue.

This is a Windows 2000 newsgroup so I would suggest you try the
WindowsXP group for possibly a quicker response. It the meantime take a
look at the "Power Options" I would bet something is set to shut off at
the 6 hour point.
