Hello...

I have a harddrive that can't boot anymore, but I can have
it as a slave and browse the data. I'd like to get the IE
favorites off it, but cannot do an export. I tried copying
the Program Files / Internet Explorer folder to the new
c-drive, but that didn't get me the favorites. Perhaps
something with the registry?

Any suggestions?

Thx,
D.

The Favorites are located in the Favorites folder. You can copy it to the
new hard disk.

In Windows 9x and ME, this folder is located at C:\Windows\

In Windows XP, it is located at C:\Documents and Settings\username\, where
"username" is replaced by the actual user name.

Go to c\Documents and Settings\username\Favorites on your slave drive. user name will be the user name you were using to logon to that machine. if you don't know then you can just select whatever is under Documents and settings. Then just copy the favourites nad paste it in your drive

Hope this helps

Doh! I shoulda known that. In fact, I did know that. I was
just, umm...testing you to see if you knew it.

Yeah, that's the ticket.

Oh criminy. Anyone got a rock handy I can hide under.

Thx,
D.
