Greetings!

Indeed, lately this procedure takes now...LONGER than
if I'm rebooting my PC "all the way" (XP Pro)!!

I already tried to disable temporarily this Hibernate mode
and rebooting my system...but after just a few new such
hibernation tasks, I'm "back to square one" again.
I tried to locate this file "hiberfil.sys" (while my hibernate
function is on)...but despite of making sure that such
search looks also for hidden files, I cannot locate it (!).
But otherwise my system works "just fine"; though.

So I'd be really very thankful for any valid tips now...
Bye, Philippe.

Open Windows Explorer, click on the Tools menu, click options, click on the
View Tab, select show hidden files and folders.
This should reveal the hiberfil.sys file in the root of C

Hi Johan Olivier,
Nope, that wasn't the problem, since this selection was already...
checked on my OS. But then I...UNchecked the following line:
"Hide protected operating system files"...and it's ONLY THEN
that this "hiberfil.sys" finally showed up during a new search (!).
But thanks anyway for your kind feedback; okay!
However, this "snail-problem" remains still unsolved; though...
Philippe
