Repairing Works

Just how does one go about repairing Works? I have this on my XP Emachines
hard drive and in envelopes it freezes to the point where I have to pull the
plug.. nothing else will do.. not restart, not stop... nothing.


I have been told that there is a way to " Repair" works. How?

Go to Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel and Change. Or rerun setup.

How does one rerun setup.

Also, If I go to the control panel and change, I will lose the program.
this is not a repair as far as I know.
