On 3/24 I asked how to rename my F Drive after inadvertently giving it a
file name. Mark Ferguson responded on 3/25. I did as he suggested, ie,
going into Start,/run, diskmgmt. I hit file menu/options. But under options
I saw no way to change the name of the drive. I tried to respond to Mark's
answer but for some reason can't seem to figure out how. When I hit "reply"
to the message, it doesn't bring me to a dialog box where I can write.
Maybe if you're out there, Mark, you could respond again. When I hit
file I saw the drives and could highlight F, but it wouldn't let me write
over it.
If you do respond, how to I respond back to you.
Thanks for your time..................Nancymc

Since the drive is already F:, you must be refering to the Volume name, which
is changed when you highlight F: in diskmgmt.msc, got to the Actions menu,
then All Tasks, then Properties. The dialog that opens will have the cursor
in an input box with that filename you don't want. Change it and apply.
