Remote desktop

Is it possible to connect to a Pc which is behind a router from a remote
location using Remote desktop?
The configuration is as follows : 4 pcs behind a linksys router that use ICS
and have an Ip range of 192.168.0.1 - 4 . The pc that is directly connected
to the router has this ip address 192.168.1.100 and for the local area
network has the ip 192.168.0.1.
..How can i connect to one of the pcs from the internet? All of the Pcs run
Windows Xp Proffesional and are part of a workgroup.

Thanks you for taking the time to read this.

This is a rather unusual configuration because you are using Network Address
Translation from the 192.168.0.x network to the 192.168.1.x network and then
using it again from the 192.168.1.x network to the Internet. When you
double NAT, conventional solutions do not always work. In this scenario the
most likely to work solution is:

1. On the Linksys router map TCP port 3389 to 192.168.1.100.

2. On the 192.168.1.100 machine enable Remote Desktop and check the
exception box for Remote Desktop in the Internet Connection Firewall
settings.

3. When you establish an RDP connection to the 192.168.1.100 machine, go to
Programs/Accessories/Communications/Remote Desktop Connections and enter the
IP address of the desired 192.168.0.x machine.

If you linksys supports static routes and you have configured one to the
192.168.0.x network, you may be able to map port 3389 directly to a
192.168.0.x machine. Or, you may be able to map 3389 to 192.168.1.100 and
then again map 3389 to the desired target using the
Advanced/Settings/Services box on the ICS (internet) connection in Network
Connections.

Let's see if I have this straight.
Internet -> Modem -> Router -> PC 1 -> PC 2,3,4

Is there a reason you don't have all the PC's hooked directly to the router?
You can go into the router and specify port forwarding to direct the remote
desktop connection (can't remember which ports off hand) to PC1, but from
there I'm not sure how/if you can direct it to PC 2,3,4.
