Remote Desktop, port forwarding, a newbie question:

Hello, If I have two PC's on a LAN behind an ADSL router, how can I
configure them to individually access them via Remote Desktop from
outside ?

I know I must open a Port forwarding for port 3389 to these machines's
IP local addresses, (192.168.0.1 and .2), but when I'm outside the
LAN, on the internet, I only see a unique public IP address, how can I
tell the remote desktop client which one of the two computer I want to
log in?

which is the correct way to work it out? I'm totally ignorant..excuse
me :)

1. Change the listening port on one of the computers (to 3390, for
example), as shown here:

2. Configure the router to forward the appropriate port to each
computer.

3. Configure the Remote Desktop client to connect to the listening
port of the desired computer. See:

port when you use Windows XP

You have a couple of options...

....or run Remote Desktop through a VPN or SSH tunnel. The advantage is you
can use strong authentication versus a password only and you only need one
hole in your firewall/router. Here is a SSH method...
