I have 3 machines which are running following operating systems:
Machine 1 WinXP SP2 - Two NIC - One connected to ISP & the other 192.168.10.3
Machine 2 Win2003 - Two NIC - One disabled & the other 192.168.10.1
Machine 3 Win2003 - Two NIC - One disabled & the other 192.168.10.2
All 3 machines are connected to LINKSYS 5-Port Workgroup HUB.
I have disabled Windows Firewall setting on WinXP Machine. When, I try to
remote desktop Machine 2 from WinXP machine, I get the following error.

"The client could not connect to the remote computer. Remote connections
might not be enabled or the computer might be to busy to accept new
connections. It is also possible that network problems are preventing your
connection".

I have enabled Remote Desktop on Machine 2 & 3 and both have static IP
address of 192.168.10.1 & 10.2. I have disabled firewall & ICS sharing on
Machine 2 or 3. What could be the problem?? Appreciate your help.

I am trying to practice lab exercise (From Train Signal) in order to prepare
for Microsoft Certification. I am feeling pretty BAD for not being able to
setup Remote Desktop which by far an easy TASK. Any help from the newgroup
would be of great help as well a good learning experience for ME.

I tried using one of the solution towards connection error. I am not running
SBS yet, I have added port 4125 to the windows firewall list to allow
communication when using RD. I still get the same error. I cannot imagine
why, I am having such a hard time in setting up Remote Desktop running.
Still searching the web for an answer.

If you don't use SBS RWW, you don't need to open the port 4125. Do a simple test. can you remote Desktop to the computer self?
