Remote desktop being disconnected by VPN

Have a user who is connecting to a machine across the network with Remote
Desktop. After he connects, he is then using that machine to VPN into
another site. When he connects with VPN his remote desktop gets disconnected
and he cannot reconnect until the VPN connections is disconnected. Any
thoughts on how to make this work?

Thanks

When the VPN connection is made it creates a secure tunnel to the
remote site. Since you are not part of that tunnel you get dropped.

On some VPN software it is possible to create a "split-tunnel". Try
Googling"VPN split tunne"l.

You may be violating your company's security policy if you do this...
