Remote Desktop and Java Application

I am using Remote Desktop to access my work computer from home thru a
VPN.

We use a Java application to update some database records.

The problem is that the menus in the Java application do not work thru
Remote Desktop. The menu drops down but I can not actually click on
any of the menu items.

Has anyone seen this before?

I had other remote desktop software installed previously and I think
it worked alright with it.

Thanks

Verified you have the latest java installed on the remote system?
Latest video card driver?
Latest updates?
What version of the Remote Desktop Client are you utilizing?

I investigated and realized that I was running it with a very old
version of Java.

Updating that fixed my problem.
