Remembering Windows Layouts, Etc

Under Tools / View, I have it set for Windows to remember Window layouts.
After working with several directories, Windows forgets my previous
settings for certain windows. Is there any way to enlarge the buffer size
for this function?

I figured out how to solve this in Win98se, but XP stores the info a
different way. I would extract the info from the ref file and reload it on
start up. Worked like a champ, but can't seem to get XP to do this.

Are you running SP2? If not run the edit on Kelly's site:

No. SP2 increases the limit from SP1 so you normally don't need to run
that edit. I don't recollect what SP2 sets the limit to. Have you run
that edit?

SP2 sets the limit to 5000. Even with the upped limit, the index can become full and older views
can get deleted -- folders rooted at the desktop are especially vulnerable. Kelly's edit will clear
it out, but all saved views will be lost -- they'll stick around for a long time after that, though.

Now, if I could get the rihgt-click Send To Menu to sort, I would be
totally happy.

What is the order of sendto. [I typed this with heaps of police about as someone had a hose running from the exhaust to the car cabin out the front and I called an ambo.]
