Reinstalling Win Explorer

J

Jake

In order to reinstall the Explorer, I found out that I need
to remove one of the security updates i.e., "Windows XP
Hotfix - KB823559".
However when I tried to remove this using "Add or Remove
Program" in Control Panel, after the security patch is
removed, the computer is rebooted automatically.
Then the patch is created again.
How can I remove the patch?

Use the spuninst.bat file located in the $NTUninstall directory for the
patch. That should remove it completely.

thanks, for answering me...
however, the spuninst.bat wasn't able to remove the
security patch...
it was same as using "Add or Remove Program".
after uninstalling process, the computer is rebooted
automatically again, and the patch is still there...
do you have other idea?
thanks again, in advance...
