Registration is a normal part of setting up XP but is not required.
However, Activating XP is required if you have a retail version. If XP came
pre-loaded on your system, it usually doesn't require activation as it was
likely activated at the factory. If Activation is what you meant, go to
Start\All Programs\Accessories\System Tools\Activate Windows. If you
actually meant registration, open Help and Support on the Start menu, type
registration in the search box and press enter. Select, Using Online
Registration. In the help box that appears is a link to the online
registration wizard.
