Don't hold your breath!

What's funny is this has only happened to me once... and that was with
epson OEM... and it exploded. I think I was doing a cleaning... and
splash!

Serves you right, you should have used aftermarket ink, it would have been a
much cheaper explosion!

THERE ARE NO BRANDS. YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU ARE GETTING
THEY ARE UNPROFESSIONAL.

then adds, completely off topic:

(ON TOP OF THAT IF YOU WANT THE CONVENIENCE OF
PREFILLED CARTS THEY DO NOT DISCLOSE WHAT THEY ARE SELLING YOU.)

Hell I've yet to figure out why he even bothers to post in this ng. But
wait a min...I'm thinking like a "mentally normal" humane being trying
to understand someone obviously who is not even close to normal.
Forget it!

YOU MUST BE A MIND READER. EVERYTHING YOU SAID IN THE ABOVE IS TRUE AND
I DO HAVE RESEARCH EXPERIENCE COLLECTIONING OTHER PEOPLES INFORMATION
POSTED RIGHT HERE AND ELSEWHERE. ALSO CONSUMER REPORTS SAYS THE SAME THING.

Ron ... what Canon 3 in 1 would you recommend?? The MP750, MP760 or
MP780. Heh ... I appreciate the information ... never ran into
'alotofthings.com' a good site. How about their service?

I'm surprised I didn't get much interest shared here about the Epsons.
I've had reasonable luck with them, but I think I'm ready for some
better technology.

The epson technology is just fine... if a tad fickle. That whole not
dependent on the vapor point of the ink has it's advantages... but one
thing about AIOs is you should be able to maintain them with minimal
bother and effort and cost. To me that means HP or Canon. Ease of
refilling is definatly canon... while the new HPs are take like I know
nothing about refilling them. You can refill the OEM tanks, you can
buy refillable tanks at low cost.

MP750 - sheet feeder NO fax NO slide scanner NO card slots
MP760 - NO fax NO sheet feeder - slide scanner color screen card slots
MP780. Fax sheet feeder NO slidescanner no cardslots

All three are pretty much in the same class as far as printers go, all
based on the ip4000 engine. It's just a question of what features you
desire.

Not the same Ron, but the answer will probably be about the same.

Alotofthings is a very, very good site to purchase from. I've been a
customer of theirs since 2001 and the service and products are excellent. I
also do business with HobbiColors.com and I find them to be an excellent
operation as well. Their prices are lower and they also supply easily
refillable virgin cartridges with their ink refill kits. They only have ink
for Canon printers however, so if for some reason you choose a different
make of printer then they wouldn't be able to help. The other difference is
that alotofthings uses only Formulabs ink for their bulk and refill sales
and Hobbicolors doesn't. I've tested both inks against Canon OEM on the same
printer and I give HobbiColors a very slight edge over Formulabs or Canon
ink, but the difference is so slight that it is meaningless. Both inks are
outstanding.

As to the 3 in 1 printer it boils down to what functions do you want.
Printer plus scanner only or automatic document feed or fax capabilities?
The prices have risen recently and personally I don't think a 3 in 1 is all
that great a thing to have. For about the same price, possibly less, you
could get an iP4000 or iP4200 printer and a good quality scanner. If one
happens to go down, then you aren't stuck with a big unit with only one
functional component.

Sorry, I'm not up to date on the all-in-ones, bought my i960 a year ago,
and am having great results with the refill ink from alotofthings.com. I
assume the print engines on the all-in-ones are the same as the straight
Canon printers, so results should be similar. My only interaction with
alotofthings was ... I bought refill ink, and it worked. Their refill
instructions are good, and can be downloaded from thier site.

My newsreader did something weird on my previous message, so this may be
a resend. I'm not up to date on the Canon all-in ones, but assume they
print pretty much like the corresponding straight printers.
Allotofthings.com, and several other sites have good dowloadable refill
instructions. My results are perfect so far (11 months) with refills.

THEIR SITE IS AWFUL AND THEY DO NOT DISCLOSE WELL. AND FOR PREFILLED
CARTS THEY DO NOT DISCLOSE WHAT THEY ARE SELLING AT ALL.

BUY EPSON WITH CHIPPED TECHNOLOGY THAT PREVENTS REFILLING

But, we're talking about refills here, not prefilled cartridges, so your
comment is off topic as well as erroneous.
