It can't be 'fixed' as such - only killed off (in most cases).
Try clicking its red cross first, if it has one. If not, right-click its
entry on the taskbar and choose Close. After a short while a window should
pop up with button choices of End Now or Wait - choose End Now. Hopefully it
will then shut down the offending program.
An alternative is to right-click the taskbar and select Task Manager. Go to
the Applications tab, and your Not Responding program should show there -
select it and click End Task. If I remember correctly this will then bring
up the End Now window as described above.
could be a conflict program with another program or a
hardware problem but with the info you have given its
hard to say without knowing what program is hanging up,
