Procedure entry pt. Assoclsdangerous not located in SHLWAPI.dll

I ran the Windows Update today and when restarted the
machine go tthe following message:

The procedure entry poi8nt Assoclsdangerous could not be
located inthe dynamic link library SHLWAPI.dll

Once I press Ok

The logon User Interface msgina.dll failed to load
Contact your sys admin to replace the dll or restore the
original dll.

RESTAT

What options do I have. Is thers a way I can remove
updated from today only.

I also tried booting in SAFE MODE I cannot - I get the
same error.
