Crashed during SP2 install - Cannot get past login screen

At the log-in screen, the exact error I get is:

The procedure entry point SHCreateThreadRef could not be located in the
dynamic link library SHLWAPI.dll.

I can get to the command prompt in safe mode and have replaced shell32.dll,
winlogon.exe and SHLWAPI.dll with copies from the ServicePackFiles\I386.

No change... same error. Any thoughts of other .dlls/files that could be
corrupted?
