Problem with swedish version of SP4

Patrik

Hi!

I've discovered a problem with the swedish version of SP4
update.msi. I try to update clients with SP3 deployed with
its update.msi. I've get an msi error that says that
something like this "another version of this product i
already installed... you have to uninstall this...".

I've discovered that the swedish version of SP3 and SP4
update.msi use the same product code. I've compared the US
versions, the german versions and ther swedish versions of
SP2, SP3 and SP4 update.msi and discoverde that update.msi
the swedish version of SP3 and SP4 use the US SP3 product
code. Only update.msi in swedish SP2 have the corect
producktcode. That is the language id section i correct
and the version i also correct.

Swedish SP2, SP3 and SP4 update.msi product codes:

SP2 {5D0930A0-1053-433A-8BB9-602665550DD0}
SP3 {5D0930A0-1033-433A-8BB9-603665550DD0}
SP4 {5D0930A0-1033-433A-8BB9-603665550DD0}

1033 is the US language id and 1053 is the swedish id

US SP2, SP3 and SP4 update.msi product codes:

SP2 {5D0930A0-1033-433A-8BB9-602665550DD0}
SP3 {5D0930A0-1033-433A-8BB9-603665550DD0}
SP4 {5D0930A0-1033-433A-8BB9-604665550DD0}

The package codes are correct in the msi packages for the
swedish versions.

I've got two questions:

Is this a forum to report this kind of "bug"?

Is there safe to change the msi product code to reflect
the expected code. It would be changed to the the same as
the package code. We really want to deploy SP4 with
update.msi. I use SDK Orca editor to change the code.

Hope for an answer soon.

/Patrik
