Problem with internet shortcuts on desktop

C

Carolyn

I have three shortcuts on my desktop to various web sites. They used to
work just fine, but when I click on them now they put up an error message
before taking me to the required web site.
Error reads:

Windows cannot find "http://finance.yahoo.-----. (Or whatever the web site
is) Make sure you typed the name correctly, then try again. To search for a
file, click the Start button, and then click Search.

I am running Windows XP Pro with Firefox as my primary browser (version
9.3).

Any help with this issue would be appreciated as I cannot figure out what
the problem is.
Thanks in advance,
Carolyn
