desktop Internet Shortcuts :(

Bassman

Running XP Pro Media Center Addition & for some reason the shortcut icons
on the desktop will not work. The main "e" internet icon works ok but any
other icon I place on the desktop will not. If I double click the icon it
start to open the web page for like a split second & then close. If I do a
double double click (4 times) it works but it then will open two of the same
pages. Also if I try to go to my favorites & single click the site it will
also just flash the screen & then nothing.
Strange thing is, if I log onto another account like my sons on the same
computer his will work fine. We're all using the same Google toolbar &
McAfee site adviser. I have done the SP3 update and have had no issues. This
problem was present before the update. What's strange is why won't it work
with my account but all the other three accounts on the same computer it
works just fine?
Thanx for any input!
