I have a mess with ny desktop icons

I hope I can make myself clear. I have about 25 icons on my desktop. The
first several work fine when I double click on them. However they look to be
super imposed with another desktop icon. When I double click the other icons
nothing happens. When I right click it does not give me the option to open
the icon. Thanks!!

RightClick on open area and then "arrange icons". Click on the "auto
arrange" and it should correct the "super impose".
