Desktop shortcuts - open as windowed

I ran into this problem before. It may have started after a Windows update.
Any Desktop Shortcuts to IE do not open full-screen. They open windowed. I
had Googled this a few months ago, and there was something that had to be
changed, I thought, in the shortcut properties. But I don't find anything
today with Google on this.
Just re-creating the shortcut does not fix the problem. Nor does holding
the shift key while closing the full-screen window.

This is XP Pro. This PC is using the current version of IE, but I have seen
this happen with version 6.

Anyone know that fix, to make IE shortcuts automatically open full-screen?
Thanks

You modify ( Right-Click ) the shortcut, Take Properties. In the Run
box toggle the arrow to "Maximized". Otherwise IE will remember it's
last size/placement and re-use those values when restarted.

I remember in previous versions of Windows that you could do that. But in
XP that option is not available under Properties for IE desktop shortcuts.
I checked several computers, same thing.

Enable the QuickLaunch bar, Drag the IE shortcut to it. Then
retry the Properties change.

I take it that this works for you? I just did that, and it doesn't work for
me. I get the General tab and the Web Document tab. And nothing on either
of those about opening maximized/minimized.
Another of the mysteries of Microsoft.
