Problem window at startup

I was online a while ago, and when done I started closing out, using the red
"X" box. The system went wild, and every time I clicked, a new window would
open. Finally I managed to back out, close AOL and get back to the desktop.
Ever since, when XP loads my desktop at startup, the screen/system load
properly, but a
window appears for an app called "NETSH", located at C:/WINNT/SYSTEM32. I
went looking for the file, and it's an .EXE that takes user input. When it
appears at startup, it isn't active, and after 6-7 seconds it disappears;
leaving my normal desktop. I can not get rid of it. Any suggestions as to
what load file might have been injured/appended would be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance, Paul

Hi Paullie,
don't know if it will help any, but if you type in netsh.exe in Google, a
whole load of stuff comes up on how to use it etc.
Good Luck

Denise,
Thanks for the great idea. Google turned up some potentially useful links. I
took a cursory look, and I think there may be an answer there somewhere. I
accidentally googled "netsh.com".. what a strange surprise!! Again, thanks.
