Problem sending attachments in Windows mail

I'm using Vista home 32 bit , and have just started having problems sending
attachments. Every time I try to attach something to my e-mail the screen
flips to the photo files but then closes right away without any error
mesages.(shutting down windows mail) I don't think its my antivirus as its
has work without problems . I even shut the antivirus program off and tried
it but no help (Avast antivirus) anyone have any suggestion it would be a
great help.

Chances are, your antivirus was installed with its default install option.
If so, uninstall it, then reinstall, but select 'custom' install, which then
allows you to unselect installing its troublesome email scanning module.

While Avast is uninstalled, try Windows Mail again, just to verify that
the culprit has been found.
