Windows Mail Attachments

When I try to open certain attachments in Windows Mail, I get a message that
states "Wait while Windows configures Windows Live Mail." After a few
seconds, the box closes and nothing happens. I can't open the attachment. Is
there a solution to this problem? I'm running Vista Premium 64 bit.

Sounds like you may have a partial install of Windows Live Mail.
Try resetting Windows Mail as the default:
Open the Default Programs applet, which you can access either from
the Start menu or via the Control Panel, then click the first item:
"Set your default programs."
After a few seconds, a list of programs comes up. Click on "Windows
Mail". If it doesn't respond with "This program has all its defaults"
then fix it by clicking on the option indicated by the first green arrow.

If no improvement, you might as well proceed with installing Windows
Live Mail: http://get.live.com/wlmail/overview
