Recently upgraded to XP. Just downloaded SP2. My printer won't print
images. Only text. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Have no clue...but now it's working. Thanks. I'll hang on to this for
future reference.

I've got the same problem as TanaMary and Carey's suggestions have not worked
for me. Whenever I attempt to print, I receive this message: "Unable to
communicate with the device. Please start 'MPService' from the services
applet in Control Panel. Please right-click on the Status Monitor to
reconnect and try again."

I can start MPService OK but what and where is the Status Monitor?

I have not been able to print at all since SP2 was installed. The
troubleshooter is no help at all and I can find nothing helpful in the
Knowledge Base.

I would appreciate some help in solving this one.

I found the answer thanks to softwarepatch.com. The problem is specific to
Canon MPC200 and MPC 190 printers and is easily solved by downloading a small
patch from Canon. SP2 blocking ports once again. Bless it!!
