PRINTER DRIVER PROBLEM

I am running windows XP, with a canon BJC printer. Which was working fine.
However I went to print the other day and I get a no printers installed
message.
When I look the the installed printers folder there is no driver there.
So went to add printer and another message "operation could not be completed".
I have downloaded an XP compatiable driver from the Canon site but it wil
not install either.

Any idea's would be gratefully tried. thanks

You need to start from scratch. In other words, you need to delete all
previous references to your now corrupt drivers. Disconnect the printer
first.
Uninstall & reinstall Printer
