Printed items stay in job list until deleted manually

After a printer driver installation on a print server all
printers maintain a list of "printed" jobs until deleted
manually. How do I turn it back the it was ???eg after a
job is printed the entry is deleted off the list.

See the Advanced tab of the printer's Properties dialog. Remove the check
mark from "Keep printed documents".
