print que won't purge jobs

Buenos,

I've got a client with a win2k (sp4) machine that won't purge the print
que/spool even after the print job has completed. All print spool and print
just fine, but the jobs stay in the que. He has to manually delete the jobs
(either from the GUI que or from the spool\PRINTERS folder).

If he reboots or logs out/logs in, the jobs print again. Right now he must
delete jobs before logging out/shutting down.

Any advice would be great. Thanks.

I bet this is using an HP print driver.

Printer / Properties / Ports /

disable Bidirectional

Also check on HP's site for an updated driver. They said they would fix
this but I think they only fixed this in their new printer drivers.

Alan,

Thanks! You're correct, it's an HP (LJ 2300).

I knew I was overlooking something. Removing the Bidirectional printing
took care of it. I will look for updated drivers later.
