Print jobs reprint after reboot....

I have an employee that all his print jobs reprint after
he reboots. The print jobs print fine, reboots and when
he logs in, the print jobs print again. Windows 2000
with sp4. The spool file isn't mark read only. Any
assistance would be appreciated.

Did anyone come up with anything on this? I have a
customer having the same trouble. The queue shows that the
job has printed, but it does not clear. When she reboots
or logs back in, the jobs print again. The box on the
properties that says "hold printed documents" is not
checked nor does this happen on any of the other printers
she prints to.
Thanks!

Hello Russ,

I guess I know that situation :

I bet that the "bidirectional mode" box is checked in the "Ports" tab. And
you are printing on a IP printer.

The trouble is that Windows doesn't support "bidirectionnal mode" over IP
(without third party aid). Thus, Windows will never received the task
completion message and thinks that your print task has to be re-submitted.

In short : just go to the printer properties, and in the "ports" tab
uncheck the "bidirectional mode" check box.

Let me know if this is better...
