Print spooler restarts after misfeed

When printing 500 letters utilizing mail merge thru Microsoft Word, if there
is a paper jam, after clearing the jam the print job starts over after it
finished printing what is in the printer memory (typacally another 5 pages or
so). I suspect the fault is in the spooler program because while watching the
status on my computer screen, it will say "Starting print job" after the
printer is reset. Is there a setting somewhere that can be set to not restart
the job?

I have the this same problem. Please let me know if anybody has found
a solution
