Print jobs piling up...

I

Ian Francis

Another weird problem I have been having lately with my HP LaserJet 2200 DTN
printer. All prints are ok, everything is functioning fine, no errors or
anything, but whenever I go to print to the printer it displays that there
are prints in the print queue.

After watching the problem for a little while it looks like it has become
more of a historical log of everything that has been printed. I can select
"cancel all print jobs" and the list will clear... but they shouldn't be
there anyways?

Any ideas what's going on?

Thanks in advance,

Ian

The driver from HP has a problem (I think this was one of bad ones).
Uncheck Enable Bidirectional communication on the Ports tab of printer
properties. HP was suppose to post a fix for this last month. I just
checked and there is nothing new on this device.

XP has this driver in box. You can install this driver onto the Win2000
system remotely if you have XP around.

If bidirectional is not the fix make sure that Keep Printed Documents is not
enabled on the Advanced Tab of printer properties
