PPPOE and DSL

I'm trying to load the SBC DSL Connection Manager on my
laptop for a broadband Internet connection, but I get a
configuration error during the install. I was told to
set up my Internet connection manually through Network
Connections or Internet Options in the Control Panel. I
tried to do this, but the manual option is greyed out.

Any suggestions or help is greatly appreciated.
