registry/driver issue

Here is my problem. I downloaded an updated version of
windows xp pro on my computer after I had loaded SBC DSL
on my computer and now it has messed up the PPPoE
connection. I disconnected the DSL connection manager and
restarted the computer and went into control panel and
network connections and tried to open a new connection but
it only gave me the option to have a constant connection
when I want a password connection. So basically what I
was told was that it was a registry issue or a driver
issue but I need help because I cannot connect to the
internet without help. Thanks, Jason Voice
