power-on

I'm using my laptop for the CPU only at home, i.e., I'm
using a fullsize monitor and keyboard hooked to my
laptop. Is there a way to power on the laptop without
lifting the lid and hitting the power button? I realize
this is probably a very silly question but just want to
make sure there is no other way. Thanks.

Not if your power button isn't accessible without the lid being raised.
