Been reading up on that mobo Chris and it looks pretty good, if overly expensive compared to say an Asus P5B which OC's just about as well by all accounts.

But if your looking for future SLi upgrading then its probably worth it - you students have too much money these days :D

Found this nVidia nForce 680i SLi OC'ing guide that you might find useful :thumb:

Ha - too much money? I dont think so... just a big loan :)

Thanks for the link :p

I found i can get the EVGA 8800GTX for £357 delivered if i import it from the states via eBay so thats alright - £113 cheaper than Overclockers which is silly. Though i wont be able to step it up via eBay which sucks.

Yeah the EVGA is the most popular board at the moment - go for it :)

Is the EVGA that much better than the BFG 8800GTX? - its on offer at overclockers this week at £387.74 :thumb:

EVGA's warranty lets you overclock and modify the card in any way without voiding the lifetime warranty - plus its a good overclocker :)

The warranty & cooler must be the difference - just been reading that all the 8800's are made by the same manufacturer then each put their own coolers and brand on :thumb:

They all use the reference coolers at the moment... bar one or two obscure versions... :)

They might manufacture their own coolers with different graphics but they are all the same lol

I would still rather go for the EVGA version i think Rush, but thanks anyway. Even though i am importing it, i still get the warranty through EVGA :)

I love the exchange rate :) Paypal gave me 1.92USD to the GBP

* Just ordered my EVGA nVidia 8800 GTX 768mb *

Delivered to my door, provided nothing gets caught up at the port, for £350 with a free copy of "Dark Messiah: Might and Magic" Whatever that is (sounds pretty rubbish)

If all goes to plan, i saved £120 over the overclockers.co.uk price

It was eBay America - $629.99 + Express Delivery

Could have probably got it cheaper, but thats a good deal :)
