Everytime I shut down Windows XP turn off...it pops back on after a few seconds and it's making a grinding sound...anyone know anything about this problem?
Have a look on the manufacturer's web site for your hard disk 'grinding'to see if they have a diagnostic program - if you think that is the problem. Otherwise check that the fans are working properly - you may needto replace one of those. Open the case and see if anything is being restricted when it reboots.
