Pop ups

Recently I have recieved a ton of pop ups after I
downloaded Windows updates. The adware cannot be found on a
scan, and is EXTREMELY annoying when trying to do
something. I do not know what it is, but all I know is that
it creates cookies in my cookies folder, but does not seem
to be detectable. I find it extremely suspicious that it
only happens RIGHT after I install the new updates for XP.
Can anyone help me? I'm banging my head of my desk in
frustration.. i'm getting a pop up every minute! AAARGH!

There's more than one anti-spyware to run. None of them detects everything.

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each needs to be updated before every use, even when just
downloaded. There's also a lot more to do than just those two programs.
